Huge dinar news here...
After months of planning and waiting the
offensive to retake Mosul has begun.
This is hugely important for
Iraq and the future of the dinar.
The gurus feel if Iraq's GOI can't retake the city
there is little hope for the dinar increasing in
value anytime in the near future.
On the other hand...they feel if Iraq's able to win the
city and win it relatively quickly it will be a
demonstration of Iraq's competence and
ready for the world stage!
So, yeah, this is BIG.
A proving ground of sorts.
And frightening...the battle will take place
in the heart of the city with civilians all around.
I can't imagine how difficult this is for the people.
Big milestones for the dinar are expected
to be reached with Iraq and the CBI in the coming
week.
They'll get a report card and everything.
