Hi ,
Last week I sent you the information about the updated
500 dinar note with the Kurdish language.
Multiple guru are reporting this note has been
released by the CBI.
By far the number one question I've gotten about this
is...
What does this mean for the dinar note you hold?
Are the old notes still good?
Will the old notes be good in the future?
Are the 25K notes still good?
Until we hear otherwise from the CBI, it appears
the old 500 notes and the updated notes will coexist.
The gurus say this is similar to when the US $100
dollar note is updated...
The old notes coexist with the updated notes
until the old notes are collected by banks and
returned to the treasury.
Both are considered legal currency.
This mean as of now...all dinar notes are valid.
This includes the 25,000 note.
(The 50 dinar note was retired April 2015)
Until the CBI announces a change...this is where
we stand.
So rest assured your notes are valid.
