You've got to read past the political lines
of covering their own butts, but it appears you get a very real picture
of what the Obama administration is thinking and doing about the
Iraqi situation.

frustrated Congresspeople say something like, 'We've learned more
from the NY Times and the Washington Post than from your official
briefings and testimony.

The State Departments response was...I caution against relying on
"Leaks" in the press.

Goes to show you the value of Newshound Gurus and Intel Gurus...AND
official government documents...you get a much clearer picture when
you have all three!

What's pretty cool about this is they go into a bit of detail of
the political process of Iraq.  They talk about the 15 days they
have to seat a PM, they Specifically talk about Maliki and
what if he's elected again.

It's obvious at least some of the committee members do not like
Maliki.

So check it out when you have a chance...it's worth the pain! ;)
