With all the forward movement news I decided to take a movie
break!
A dinar movie break!
A few weeks back I sent you a clip from the 2012 movie that
features scenes
about the dinar investment.
Now, I've seen the movie from beginning to end this weekend.
And yes, they do talk about the dinar investment in it.
In fact the characters (besides the fact that they're bank robbers)
sound eerily similar to us!
They even mention the Kuwaiti Dinar investment...

...and the HUGE potential for the Iraqi Dinar.Here's the thing...its not my sort of movie. Its got violence,
guns, gratuitous car chases, foul language and lousy dialogue.
Not very believable (except for the dinar part of course! :)
In short...its a young guy movie.
Here's how the dinar is presented in the movie.
Main character,"bad guy turned good guy", shares with his cute
girlfriend how good of an investment the Iraqi Dinar could be.
She bursts his bubble by suggesting he's taking advantage of a war
torn nation.
This is a very quick little scene...24 minutes and 30 seconds in.
The Dinar comes up again at the 1 hour and 22 minute mark.
This time by the "bad guy".
As he takes stolen bank money from the main character, he's asked,
"what are you going to do with all this money
anyway?"
His reply...Invest in Iraqi Dinar!
The main character is stunned that someone else knows about the
dinar and is actually tickled about it.
They do the math together on how much the investment will be worth
if the Iraqi Dinar comes close to the Kuwaiti Dinar.
The movie ends with cute girl and "bad buy turned good" staying
together with the stipulation that he doesn't take advantage of war
torn nations anymore.
He agrees.
the end...
There you have it...the Iraqi Dinar in a semi-major motion picture.
It's called Hit and Run.
Oh, by the way--back in reality...the Iraqi parliament has decided
to stay in
session until the budget is passed...it may even be passed by the
time you read this. (other reports say next week :(
